Though I do not mean, when I say “desisting from the use of reason”, that the mind is to abdicate itself from its encounter with reality. I mean only that there ought to be, in certain situations, a loosening of the grip that reason, or rationality, heretofore tends to have had on it; and, at the same time, an admittance to it of some facets of imagination and faith.
