There are many other prayers I like to pray, as well. And of course one doesn’t need to recite a prayer that one has memorized, in order to pray. One can speak to God directly, in one’s heart, with words that one comes up with on one’s own. Or can listen to Him in silence. I tend to pray to Our Lady for her intercession because I love her and because my ability to pray in a more organic way is hampered by my distracted and unquiet mind.
